Friends of the Newtown Public Library
The FOL is an all volunteer not-for-profit 501C3 organization. The purpose of the FOL shall be twofold. FOL shall raise funds to be donated to the library to be used for the betterment of the library. FOL shall promote community awareness of the library by offering programs for the community's entertainment and education.

Join the Friends: The FOL meet every month from September through May. For the date of the next meeting, call 610-353-1703. Support your library by becoming a Friend of the Library. Pick up a Membership Form at the library or print this membership form.

FOL Wine and Cheese Silent Auction is May 18 at 6 PM.

Book Sale: takes place every 6 months in the community room. Next sale is Jan 31-Feb 4, 2012. Preview Sale 10-12 on Tuesday. Hours follow library hours.
Donate books are not being accepted between Jan 20 and Jan 31. You can drop off items to donate during the first day of the book sale on Jan 31. Directions & information are also available at the library. We also accept videos, music CDs, books on tape/CD, readers digest, games and puzzles. BUT PLEASE NO encyclopedias or old textbooks.

Lobby Book Donation Cart:  Hardback books are $1.00. Paperback books are 50 cents. When you take a book from the cart, please give your money at the circulation desk in the library. To donate books, just put them on the cart. After you have read your book(s) you can bring it back and put it back on the cart.
All donations from the book sale and the donation cart go to benefit the Newtown Public Library.


Hand Crafters meet every Monday at 2 pm in the community room. Come to chat and knit, needlepoint, etc, or just chat. No sign-up necessary.
