July 4th Float Thanks to all our volunteers who helped with the 4th of July Float & parade. Friends of the Newtown Public Library won 2nd place for small floats Author Visit Photo - Barbara Robinson at our library on April 14.

Next Book Sale: Feb. 2011 in the library's community room. Book Sales are held every 6 months. THANK YOU to all who helped at the sale and/or bought books. The August sale was a great success.
Publicity Chairperson is needed for the book sale. Please email Dorothy at d.elicker@comcast.net for more info. Dorothy has a notebook of directions and she will help the new chairperson.
Book Donations. Click here for directions to many sites to drop off donations. Directions & information are also available at the library. We also accept videos, CDs, books on tape/CD, games and puzzles. BUT PLEASE NO encyclopedias, old textbooks, Readers Digest condensed books or magazines.
Lobby Book Donation Cart: Hardback books are $1.00. Paperback books are 50 cents. When you take a book from the cart, please give your money at the circulation desk in the library. To donate books, just put them on the cart. After you have read your book(s) you can bring it back and put it back on the cart.
All donations from the book sale and the donation cart go to benefit the Newtown Public Library.
Hand Crafters meet every Monday at 2 pm in the community room. Come to chat and knit, needlepoint, etc, or just chat. No sign-up necessary.
